Welcome to Wildlife Photography by Calvin Schnure, a window to the world outdoors. I love nature and hiking, and taking photos along the way.

Birds are a special attraction outdoors, and on these pages. From large birds of prey like Bald Eagles, Hawks and Falcons, to Songbirds and the tiniest Hummingbird, you’ll find lots of beautiful images captured here. I especially enjoy using my photos to document bird behavior—feeding, courtship and mating and nesting, defending territory.

There’s lots of other wildlife here, too—from foxes fighting on San Juan Island, Washington, to hermit crabs on the beach in Costa Rica to butterflies in the sunflower fields at McKee-Beshers Wildlife Area, near my home in Bethesda, Maryland.
